PHILOTE FACTORY INC. Established in 2006 in Los Angeles as a production company to collaboratively produce features, commercials, and new media. Conceived on aspirations to communicate faster-than-light while supervising the smallest details and above all else, to be the foundry of the spirit vital to the craft of filmmaking.

Shannon Akegarasu Producer / Co-founder Born and raised in Hawaii with awards in design from UC Berkeley. Brief career in marketing at Trimark Pictures Interactive before making the leap to commercial production in 1996. Facilitated projects across the globe as freelance producer and 1st AD for clients such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, NEC, Shiseido, Noevir, Kirin, Coca-cola, and New Balance until establishing philote factory in 2006. As a personal ideal, philote factory was created in pursuit of an artistic environment that is a fusion of commercial production value and indie spirit.
Yoshinobu Tsuji Producer / Co-founder With a background in managing high-profile TV-Ad productions in Japan for clients such as Panasonic, Suntory, and Mitsubishi Motors, Yoshinobu founded philote factory to create inspiring content with innovative artists across the globe. From philote factory’s base in LA, Yoshinobu has traveled across the U.S. to produce international TV-Ad campaigns with A-list talent and filmmakers from Japan, China, and the U.S. He also produces original content such as “Brahmin Bulls,” a feature film with an ensemble of star actors including an Oscar winner. Yoshinobu was a recipient of the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Upcoming Artist in 2005 and obtained a MFA at American Film Institute Conservatory.
